Has anyone successfully got a MG-35 to mount as Read/Write under NDAS on Vista?
I have tried the latest NDAS drivers from Ximeta for Vista but they will not allow me to mount the device, although it will connect to it, the mount options are greyed out.
Anyone got a work around for this problem?
thanks

A new (older) version of the NDAS software has been posted on the main AL Tech support site , but its listed for the 350hd , might be worth you trying it on the 35 - I have not had time myself , if you do have time , can you please report here..
Thanks and regards

I saw that the other day and I tried it, but it wouldnt mount the MG-35 as read/write or read either.
I didnt try the very old 2.4.2 version from the Ximeta site and it would allow me to mount and browse the directory structure of the MG-35 and do small file transfers, but if I tried to transfer a large file, it would kill my network and the PC.
I contacted Airlinktec support and they pointed me at the Ximeta site to the latest DNAS software 3.20 (which doesnt work on the MG-35) so I doubt they are even aware (or care) that DNAS is broken on Vista with the MG-35.
I have since flashed my mediagate with the 'hacked' firmware (1.4.4.4) to enable FTP (had to re-format the HDD as FAT32) so am happy to use that until (if) DNAS is supported under Vista. DNAS just makes it easier as I can unRAR files directly to the Mediagate, but its no biggie.
If they hacked firmware would catch up to the original 1.4.6 firware (with screen saver etc) that would be great too! :)
If anyone has any luck with Vista, DNAS and the MG-35, please post your success stories here.
cheers

I have the Meiagate M35 too and just upgraded the NDAS SW to 3.2... It does not give me the Mount Options and I am running XP. I have reported this to XIMETA - will report back on what they say...

Can anyone please help me with installing my MG-35 with Vista. I can't even get the computer to detect the drive.

That's strange... I use NDAS 3.20.1520 in Vista with my MG-35 just fine!
Using firmware version 1.4.7 on the MG-35.
Edit: you definitely need 1.4.7 to get 3.20.1520 to recognize the Mediagate.
I bought mediagate 350 HD but did not get CD Installation Software.
Could I download it from a site?
Thanks
