I am in no rush but am interested in getting a new bigger (I have a 48" RPCRT Mits now) hdtv. I can see rainbows with dlp so it has to be LED or LCOS (sony or jvc). What do you all think? I would like to go say 60" or bigger. When will the new Samsung LED DLP's be out? Any problems with the LED DLP out now?

For what its worth, I have heard that even dlp's with led's do not do away with rainbows. The effect isnt as noticable but it still may be there. The ONLY way to 100% do away with them is to have 3 dlp chips like the ones in high end projectors. The first of Jan I bought a hl-s5087 (1080p sammy), I kept it for two weeks, Couldnt watch it due to rainbows. I have since returned it and bought the 50" sony sxrd (lcos) and I have never been happier. I loved the picture of the dlp other than the rbe, I highly recommend the sony sxrd.

not that i know of, If u but a dlp make sure the store has a hassle free return policy, In store i couldnt see them but once I got the tv home they started to show their colors. If it wasnt for that I would have kept the tv.

I seen one or two rainbows at circuit city on a samsung s5087 dlp.. which makes me sad... the picture was so beautiful.
