What are you guys with the XBR 2using as your setting for the PS3?
I currently playing NBA 07 and notice a white looking shadow around the players. I have been told to change it to 720p but why should I with a 1080p game? Anyways what settings are you using thanks.

The factory setting (Vivid) is way too bright, I use the Custom setting & it looks great.

I started with the CNET settings and then tweaked from there.

Do you have a link for the C/Net settings?
I looked & just found the Preview (http://reviews.cnet.com/Sony_KDS_R70XBR2/4505-6484_7-31930130.html?tag=sub)

The topic creator should have rephrased the thread and titled it "XBR2/3 Bravia LCD." It's clear from his/her user name (40XBR2) that's probably what he or she owns...not the other XBRs that Sony sells.
The 40XBR3 that I have is still going through a vast change of settings...sorry can't help. Speaking of factory default, I do use factory default Vivid when I'm showing the TV off to friends or family for the first time...the picture just looks too bright for normal viewing though. I recommend looking over the XBR2 calibration thread in the LCD section of the forums and look over some people's settings (some people swear by petmic10's settings for example)...personally none of the settings really appealed to me so I just started from scratch, tinkered a bit and came up with my own that I'm still working on...it's more fun that way too.
