Hi all board members.

This is regards to my Samsung S-4666w dlp tv.

I like to watch 4:3 content in 4:3. No stretch or zoom or anything else. Unless the tv might get burn-ins.

(on my primary CRT RPTV with no distortion whatsoever I smart stretch 4:3)

This is the bedroom tv, so its not my primary TV. Usually I watch movies on the tv and not tv at all. My wife watch some tv and she never saw the distortion.

Yesterday I watched some tv on it and I could see that the 4:3 picture is tapered inwards on the bottom. Its like 1/8 of an inch on both sides smaller on the bottom of the screen than the top. Called Samsung and they said that if its MORE than 1/4 of an inch on either side they are not going to do anything about it.

IF I would have known this before buying the tv I probably still would have bought it.

I did my research before buying it BUT I have never heard about this problem before. So I thought I would give you a heads up what Samsung rules are IF you should encounter the same distortion as I did.
