My installer just got back from another customer a TMPC 10 wireless panel plus the charger. He is willing to sell it to me for $2,200. It's only 1 month old and barely used in that time and has full warranty.
Good Deal???

Do you have a Crestron system to make it work? I think it lists for around $3700, so it would be a good discount from list. If you don't have a Crestron system behind it already, then I guess a $2200 paper weight is only a good deal if you think it is. :)

HA HA!! I am starting to build my system and this came along. I still have to buy the processor, get ti programmed, etc etc, but I just wnat to make sure that my dealer is doing right by me
Thanks
The TPMC-10 retails for $3800. It is sort of a current product, sort of not, which is probably why your dealer is willing to give you such an excellent price on it. At one point Crestron said it was discontinued, then they said it was not. The newer model is the TPMC-8X which is also $3800. Bottom line, the answer to your question is YES he is doing right by you. That's an excellent price.

Thank you QQQ
This is going to be for Home Theater control. One question I have regarding the panel, is it possible to view CCTV camera's from the tablet?? If I am in th theater and I want to look out at the side door, I would like to bring itup on the tablet and not the screen.
Thanks
The TPMC-10 is a wireless wi-fi panel. Therefore the only way to view a security camera on it would be to stream to it over the network. The TPMC-10 while plenty adequate for automation can be a bit sluggish for that type of thing I am am unsure if anyone has done that successfully. You could also use the TPMC-10 to surf to a web address that is set up for your security cameras. Again, I have not done that with a TPMC-10. I think the short answer is it would probably be less than ideal even IF you could pull it off. You could not (I *believe*) for instance simply create a single button that would launch a video window. I think it would be preferable to call it up on the TV screen (I do understand why you would prefer the touchpanel option).
This is an area where the TPMC-8X is much stronger/faster and a single button press could be programmed to call up streaming cameras.
Just to toss it in there... I have an RTI T4 that is picking up a webcam from a Panasonic webIP camera. I had it set up at the shop to monitor the test area. I can move the camera using the starburst on the T4. So for laughs I check to see if I could load it on my T4 at my test system at home. Guess what... it comes up no problem. Maybe 1 or 2 frames across the net but not bad. MSRP of the T4 is $2500. Not in the same league as Crestron... but not horrible.
Just to clarify for the original poster, there would be no problem pulling it up over a web browser. What you could do is make the webcam your browser home page and when you launch the Internet you could see your webcam. I don't consider that the ideal way to do it, but it would work just fine. It also need not actually be browsing over the internet - it could just browse to the internal IP of your camera.
