Guys,

I have an old Pioneer Elite Pro 510 CRT RPTV (which I love), but is has been going into stanby while watching an HD signal. In essence, it will go from green to red without pushing the power button and the picture will go black. It will not repower until I reset the set from the switch at the front and let it be powered off for 5 mins. Do you guys have any idea what is going on and if there is anyway to fix it.

BTW..if you guys know of anyone that can fix this in the Dallas Fortworth area?

Thanks for any help,

Ivan

It's funny you asked that question because I have or had till today a Pioneer Elite 630HD. Twice in the last few weeks mine did the exact same thing. I didn't pursue an answer as to way because Pioneer picked my set up today because of the ongoing streaking video lines that keep coming back on my set. If it wasn't for me getting the refund I would have been asking the same question.

I know none of that helps you but I would be curious to know what it might be causing it to happen. Hopefully Mr. Bob will see this post and know what it might be.

Good luck,

Jim

Mr Bob will be arriving at my home in Atlanta tomorrow (Thursday 2/8). I'll be sure he knows about this thread.

You might want to try this thread, all about consistent and repeating problems that are happening to the 510/610/710's all over the country. Luckily enough 9 times out of 10 the problems are very directly cured.

You might want to start at the beginning - the first post sets up the rest of the thread.

Mr Bob

PS - I would be glad to come to Texas again and fix this for you, plus calibrate your set and return it to is former glory, which I am even now doing in Atlanta, after 2 Pioneers in WA DC - one a 710, one a 730.

Some years ago, I did 3 calibration tours there in Texas, of 10 days each. I would love to return there and visit some loved ones there.

After 4 sets here, I go to St. Louis on my way back to CA, for one more.
