View Full Version : how to suppress "ignored user" entries in threads?

I've recently started using the "ignore list" to filter out a couple users who are particularly annoying (and wildly prolific). However, I see now that while it does suppress display of those users' posts, it replaces it with a little "this message is hidden" entry instead. In the case of one of my "ignored" users, the dude posts like every 5 minutes, with nothing really to say, so I'm still staring at a screen half full of ignored-ignored-ignored. It's kind of a drag because it keeps reminding me that I had to finally put the poor guy on my ignore list.

Is there a way to suppress even those "this message is hidden" entries?

Thanks AVS admins for maintaining a great site!

I am sorry Chris, no way to do what you are seeking. The reason it is like that so you can still get to the message if you so choose and/or as a reminder that you have some people blocked.

I know, I know, but you blocked them for a reason. ;)

OK, thanks anyway. Geez, that guy (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/member.php?u=7621597) must be newly retired or something ... :)
