BOYCOTT tvix!!!

I have contacted tivx's support about two issues. The first is the availability of their source code. The answer was "we do not release our code".

The second was a request to implement a file sharing service (either NFS or SAMBA) to overcome the limitation of the FTP service.

The answer was that they do not have plans to implement any of these services in their firmware.

I have replied again asking to reconsider, due to the strong community demand for a decent network integration requiring to share the tvix internal drive.

Here I CALL TO BOYCOTT further purchases of tvix products in order to make tvix hear the strong voice of their customers community.

Please, support this initiative, either getting in touch with tvix making the same demand to provide an internal drive share through NFS or SAMBA, if you have already a tvix device, or by putting on hold any planned purchase.

No way! Its one of the best players out there...the firmware updates are frequent and well thought out...and its one of the very few players that will stream .TS files with full menu support. If you want a network drive....just buy a network drive...

I also think they provide the best support of all manufacturers out there with continuing feature additions, bugfixes, etc... They have already stated they will/can not offer an NFS server due to hardware/memory limitations. If you want the source code, they have a web page with an (albeit outdated) tarball.
