Dumb question of the day:
Is it OK to use the DVE "SD" disc with an HDMI cable? I just bought the DVE disc to calibrate my Pioneer 50" 720p plasma, with a Yamaha upscaling "SD" DVD player (connected via HDMI cable). I noitced that on the front of the disc, it states it is for use with a NTSC Component Cable setup. Is there any reason I shouldn't use the disc for this setup with HDMI??? It will be many moons before I go HD_DVD/Blu-Ray, but I want to tweak my picture.

TIA!

No it's just fine.

I don't think that's what the disc says, it just says component NTSC, which is the format on the disc. Component exists in the digital domain as well.

OK, thanks for clearing that up!
