Hi,

I've recently purchased a Rapsody N35 and conencted it up.

I've shared folders on win XP, however N35 can see ALL coputers BUT cannot see the shares ont he Xp Clients.

My hoe setup is a domain and th eonly files that are viewable are on the domain controller, if i add the guest account to the file security permissions, i can play it fine through the network, however from any other machine i cannot see any folders at all, all i see is the computer name and when slecting, nothing is displayed.

How can I enable the Rapsody N35 to see my shares and files on win XP in a domain environment??????

I have removed one of my machines to a Workgroup and shared the folder and it can see the files no problem so I thik it must be a security setting someowhere possibly in a group policy or local policy setting but i'm unsure which one it coudl be, i've tried some but none have worked - does anyone know the fix for this?

Try limiting your shared folder name to 12 characters or less. This is the Windows 98 and 2000 backward compatibility issue.

Thanks for the reply - All my share names are below 12 characters and still no joy...

I've tried with another mahcine - putting the mahcien in a workgroup and it works fine, sees all fines BUT if its in a domain it doesn't see the shares/files - even if i use the domain guest account or local guest account or both.....

Any ideas????

Also - I've updated the firmware to 1.20 but no difference...
