Several threads have mentioned that Sony will be announcing new models this month.

Any info on when and where this will be?

I am not sure but I am hoping they will introduce a 75" or larger XBR2.
I am looking to buy a sony in the fall and bigger and better is what I am wanting.
I hope that we as consumers are not going to get pigeon holed into plasma only.

ditto, qwickdraw4. I'm hoping for an announcement of >70" (hopefully 80"). I'll be really bummed if nothing bigger than 70 is announced this year...

They made announcements at last years in Vegas around the same time and then displayed actual product in June at the LA Electronics Show - the A2000 preceded the Gen 2 SXRD in the months that followed. You may not see any pic's until June depending on how secretive Sony remains and they are very good at that or they may debut some thin line product in June or sooner as it was a year ago they said there would be a 55" thin SXRD around March 2007 but still no word. :)

I believe the show is this weekend. Any news yet?

There are pictures of the Sony KDS55A2020 on the net. It's very similar to the current model, but is all black rather than silver on the bottom. Not many details on internals.
