I have a sony TV and when i connect my DVI to HDMI port in the back and set it to 1280x720 it is too big for the screen. I need to rescale the picture down to fit on the tv.

1. can this be done and how?

Also since i didnt get that to work im using a vga cable that connect to the PC input from the tv. It works fine but there is a black empty bars on each size. I would also need to try to resize that to fit.


Any help would be great

I also had the same problem, the highest resolution on my comp was still way too huge for the TV screen.
