I would suggest there needs to be a "Tools of the Trade" section or the appropriate subsection. This seems to be a subtle re-occuring theme for the "do-it-yourselfer" and professionals alike. An appropriate A/V centric tools forum would be a very natural fit for avsforum.com

Nice idea however the tools would be talked about in the areas of the site of which they would be used. Audio, video, cabling, etc. Thus we would have cross posting I fear.
