One of the projectors is an SP5000, another is a 720p DLP(Insert any 720p model here) and the 3rd is the SP4805.
How does the SP4805 stack up?

View Full Version : 3 projectors, all playing an HD movie.. MTyson 02-09-07, 03:07 AM The SP5000 isn't nearly as good as the 4805. It's capable of a sharper and more detailed image, but that's about its only advantage. It has poor black levels and weaker contrast. 720p DLP will be number with HD material. Like the HD1000U. From about 2x the width the 4805 should still be #1 for dvds. If you add the HC3000U it beats them all. CT_Wiebe 02-09-07, 05:10 AM But the 4805 is a lot noisier (fan noise) than the HD1000U. I would really like to know how my local Magnolia store had their 4805 (and their 7205) set up, because they both exhibited excessive de-interlacing artifacts. The 4805 was so bad (and way too bright) that it gave me a headach (and made me sick to my stomach) in 10 minutes of watching. With all the satisfied 4805 users on this forum, it had to have been due to an extremely bad set-up. I agree that the SP5000 can't hold a candle to any of the DLPs (with 4x color wheels). hairynut 02-09-07, 07:44 AM The 4805 was so bad (and way too bright) that it gave me a headach (and made me sick to my stomach) in 10 minutes of watching Wow CT you better stay away from the IN72 it's alot brighter then the 4805 . what a picture With HD, i love it bass addict 02-09-07, 06:38 PM The 4805 was so bad (and way too bright) that it gave me a headach (and made me sick to my stomach) in 10 minutes of watching.
