Got it for a couple of days now, love it. While trying to feed different types of input I was able to send a 1920x1080 signal from my computer and it ACCEPTED IT!!! There's no flickering even though the text is not very sharp, but it's still somewhat legible. I then tried to switch my Xbox360 to 1080P and it took it as well.

I was under the impression these 720p projector won't accept 1080P signals, it did and it handled the display quite welll.

The specs in the manual only say 1080i support but specs from the web are showing 1080p now.

P.S. I made the decision to get the HD73 after reading the reviews here in the forum, it's an awesome projector for it's price!!!

Most 720p projectors accept 1080i, some 1080p. It simply scales it tp its native 720p

The max resolution on the projector is actually 1920x1080, so that may or may not be accurate. The question remains: does it run 1080p/i images at its max resolution, or at its native resolution?

To the OP, try switching back and forth between 1080i and 720p on the 360, and tell us if you notice any significant difference in resolution between the two. I don't think the 360 does any funny scaling stuff to make 1080i look better even in 720p, but I could be wrong. HOpefully this will be a good indicator.

^ max resolution and native resolution are two different things. The native resolution of the hd73 is 1280x768 which means anything above that will simply get scaled to it.
