This is sort of half 360 news, half HD-DVD news, but I'll post it here since it's a game.

Dragon's Lair Unveiled as First 1080p Game for Microsoft Xbox 360 HD DVD Player

GORMLEY, Ontario , Canada ( November 7, 2006 ) — Classic arcade gamers are in for a treat with the release of Dragon's Lair for the first time in 1080p high definition on the next generation HD DVD format. Dirk the Daring has visited many gaming systems over the years but with this first ever direct film transfer, he has never looked so good.
Dragon's Lair was first introduced in the arcades in 1983 and its laser disc video quality and Don Bluth animation made it an instant smash hit. Now, Digital Leisure and authoring studio Infinite HD Inc. have systematically gone through frame by frame and digitally restored this beloved classic arcade game to full True HD film quality.
“I've seen the newly restored footage and it just looks amazing” says Don Bluth, original creator of Dragon's Lair. “It looks even better than I can remember. The visuals, the 5.1 surround sound audio, all I can say is ‘Wow!' Now a whole new generation can enjoy Dragon's Lair all over again.”
All special features on the disc are in full 1080p HD including new interviews with creators Don Bluth, Gary Goldman and Rick Dyer, and even a full length visual commentary of the game.
Digital Leisure plans to follow up Dragon's Lair HD DVD with the release of Space Ace and Dragon's Lair II: Time Warp in the HD DVD format over the coming months.
Dragon's Lair HD DVD will be available this holiday season at many fine game and movie retailers as well as at www.digitalleisure.com .
Digital Leisure is a leading publisher of interactive video-based titles. The company remasters video-intensive titles that would benefit from the superior video and audio quality of DVD and the newest High Definition formats.
Microsoft and Xbox 360 are either registered trademarks or trademarks of Microsoft Corporation in the U.S. and/or other countries.

I'm sure some short-sighted people will start screaming "BUT THEY SAID DEY WOULD NEVAR RELEAS GAMEZ ON TEH HD-DVD PLYR" without understanding what Dragon's Lair is, but I won't let that deter me. I may pick this one up if the price is low and it plays well (ie loading times between actions aren't long). I'll definitely grab Space Ace if/when it's out, though.

Oh, and for the younger members and/or uninitiated, you could "play" Dragon's Lair with a regular HD-DVD remote.

I've always loved Dragon's Lair. I used to have the LD version years ago, but it was lost in a move (the LD player) and I sold the disc. So it sounds like I can play this in my A2 as well?

I use to always see this game in Arcades when I was small...never played it though.

Ha..ha.. I never mastered this game, so I will pick it up if the price is right. Does anyone remember the other laser disk games? Specifically the jet game where you could be a bomber or a fighter.

Nice nice. I remember this game... it was $1 to play back when all games were $0.25. And cinema quality back when everything else was on the level of Pac-Man / Cintipede. Not many arcades had it... I think I only saw it in a Chuck E. Cheese.

They can consider at least one copy pre-sold.

Im confused.. so is this a full game and not just a cartoon movie that we will be able to play though the hd dvd add on?

This came out on DVD a few years ago, playable on your DVD Player.

There is also an arcade perfect port for DALIAH (I think thats what the emulator is called), but you gotta grab the converted LD files....

Interesting, and cool. I wonder if that's accurate that it's going to be released on hddvd for the xbox, or if it's going to be a general Hd-dvd release that you can play with your remote.

Seems to me they can do it a number of ways, even over XBLA

I think you are talking about Daphne (http://www.daphne-emu.com/site3/index_hi.php), named after the princess you have to rescue in DL.
