Im having some problems geting my 6412 box to update, I called Comcast last night cause I still don't have the on demand service and they told me all customers should have it so they added it on to my account and sent a signal to my box.

Well after the box ran threw the dl process I now have this really generic looking guide with pretty much no features and still no on demand, It doesn't even have the bar that comes up when your fast forwarding and the interface just looks really outdated. I tryed doing another reset myself but I still have the same guide.

Im wondering if there is a problem with downloading the update from comcast so its just reverting back to the original guide software that the box came with. As far as I know I have never gotten any auto updates from them and my other 6412 now has the same guide as well. Any ideas?

Are you getting all of the digital channels?

I get most of them but a few are not coming in like MHD and Discovery HD, All HD movie channels though which I thought was od.

upon further inspection this isn't even the iGuide lol, I seen a post over on another forum with a guy that had the same problem here in Battle Creek. It seems like here in Battle Creek MI the software at the office is outdated and maybe the only reason people have the iGuide is cause its preinstalled on the motorola box's? Very odd.

There is no IPG software pre installed. The STB has to be re-authorized on every installation to have the proper Software and firmware and account settings downloaded.

Have your Cable co. CSR re do your account, ask her to make sure your STB is assigned to the correct cable headend for the services you subscribe to.

Thanks for the reply, I called and asked them to redo the account and check everything but they said everything is set right, I also had them take the on demand off that they added to see if that fixed it but no luck, Still the same old guide after the reset. This is the guide I have: http://informitv.com/images/articles/tvguide/TVGuideInteractive.jpg

Not sure what to do at this point, Pretty sad when Comcast can't figure out there own equipment after talking with over 6 diffrent people there including retention.
