Could somebody who owns the Seal - Best 1991-2004 DVD-A disc let me know if there is a DTS or DD 5.1 audio option on this release. I'd like to have the disc in surround but my player does not play DVD-A.
Thanks.

In a regular DVD player the options are Dolby 5.1 and Dolby stereo. There is no DTS on this one. I just checked on 2 different machines.
All multichannel DVD-Audio discs I'm aware of have a Dolby Digital 5.1 track. I'm pretty certain it's required by the spec, to make sure they're compatible with DVD-Video players.
Ooh, actually, that's not quite true. Some DTS Entertainment DVD-Audio discs only have PCM 2.0 and DTS 5.1. So they're still compatible with DVD-Video players, but you wouldn't get surround if you didn't have a DTS-capable player.
But I'm still not aware of any 5.1 disc that doesn't have one or both of DD or DTS 5.1 for DVD-Video players.
Thanks for the responses. I'll order the disc today!

This disc is really worth it, even if you are not the biggest Seal fan (which I am not). You get two versions (including an acoustic one) of each track. The surround mixes are appropriate and engaging. For the bang-for-the-buck, it is hard to beat this one.

Agreed. Just a great release all around. Definitely one to snap up before it disappears.
Not to mention about 10 videos. An astounding amount of content for one disc.
