Hey Guys! I just wanted to know, who here is getting Crackdown? I think I will.
It is so hard to play co-op on Live because nobody wants to play (I'm talking about the demo). Does anybody want to play some Crackdown? Put your gamertag down if you want to.

You better not tell me you were at Balad because I don't know anyone here who has played on Live :D and I not know it this whole time. Seriously, I have hear that at other bases some have had Live access but I was not sure. I am active duty Air Force.

May will be 10 years for me I am now in Qatar enroute back home from spending 4 months at Balad. It wasn't bad at all I kept myself busy and in the gym most of the time it went pretty fast.

Where is everyone planning on buying this today? I went to Target this morning before work (because I have a gift certificate for Target), and the guy behind the electronics counter said they don't get their new releases until mid-day Wednesday. ...Something about Target not paying for overnight shipping. Has anyone heard of this before? Are the other big-box retailers the same or can I expect to find it tonight at a Best Buy or something (assuming they haven't sold out).
Thanks

I just picked mine up from Best Buy. There were plenty of copies left.

Regarding the co-op, I thought they advertised seamless co-op play ala Gears of War where people can jump in and out of the game at will. Now, I'm hearing that you have to restart the game when someone joins and again when they leave.

What the hell is up with that?! That's a horrible implementation. Anyway, I bought this game more for the single-player, so I'm sure I'll enjoy it.

I might try some coop but I've never played on xbox live before so maybe I should keep my noobness offline. I'll check it out.

The menus are a bit misleading in this regard. If you create a single player game and set the appropriate options in the Options menu you can allow your friends or anyone to join your game at will. You'll get a popup in-game saying "SoandSo wants to join your game!". If you accept, then they come in and you're playing your game from that point forward.

You can also start a co-op game explicitly from the menus. You can't start the game until the other person joins at that point. Not sure why they did it this way, as it's redundant. In any case, it works fine once you realize what's going on.

One interesting observation... the agency points that are available to the 2nd player seem to be determined by the first player's progress. I haven't confirmed that the 2nd player gets credit in their game if the co-op team unlocks an agency point new to both players. Hopefully that's the case!

That's cool then. Is it hard to keep track of the other player in the game? I can imagine it would be easy to get separated. If one player dies, do they re-spawn next to the other player or at the nearest supply point?

Add me to the list. I rented it to check it out and I'm thinking of just picking it up.
