I purchased NotN, mehrunes razor, the three different homes and spell tomes recently. I got spell tomes about 2 months after all the others because it was cheap and i figured it would be a cool twist. I've ransacked 10 different dungeons with enemies including bandits, maruaders, necromancers, undead, and conjurors and haven't found one tome. Am i doing something wrong? I would have expected to find something. I'm debating with myself wether or not i should redownload it. Do they only appear with a certain type of enemy? I need help.

I've had it where I've gotten two tombs in one dungeoun and then I can through an entire dungeoun with lots of chests and no tomb. I think it is a random thing. If you have gone through a lot of dungeouns and no tomb, you might want to see if you can delete it and re-download it, just in case.

What spells do you get with the tomes? Anything good? I don't utilize magic much with my current character, but I could see myself using a mage-type character on my next play-through and might find this download worthwhile.

It is random. Always just one. Could be anything. I've never seen a rhyme or reason to what you get.

The spells are random but each tome only gives one spell but that spell could have mutiple effects. i'm pretty sure new spells were added with them. I saw a screenshot where there was a spell that summoned a bear in a tome. I still haven't found one though. Anyone recomend any dungeons high in loot content? I don't mind what kind of enemy there is, ill tear through anything.

i resolved it myself. After going through the 15th straight dungeon and not finding a single tome i decided to redownload it. I found one tome within about 20 minutes of the reinstallation. It was a spell about invisibility. I already have one more powerful plus i take sun damage with this spell, but I've decided to keep any tome's i find. the down side of this download is that they're so rare. They're not even sold by book vendors, they must be found in dungeons. After i found the first i was fueled to search 2 more caves and didn't find another. i wish they weren't so rare.

Anyway, i'm still open to suggestions about places with lots of chests. I don't want high quality loot, i want high number of chests because i don't need money or loot, I need lots of opportunities to find the tomes which means lots of chests. Anyone know a good place?

I usually go there looking for master-level alchemical gear.

I'm not concerned with types of enemies, amount of boss chests, quality of loot, or nuimber of boss enemies. i just want a bunch of chests to rifle through. A dozen chests is actually pretty good, I'll give it a shot.

And by the way, try a conjuror lair for alchemy gear, my experience has led to them having better stuff geared towards alchemy.

I got the same potions when I used all master gear as when I used three master and one expert.

I don't remember where I got all mine but i think it was conjurors. I don't make potions much anymore, only my special poisons. I only used to use it to make money when I was a low level and desperatley needed health potions thank to my *sigh* hack and slash ways. I'd steal all the food I saw and make restore fatigue potions. The sell for more and weigh the same. Thats a good tip for someone who just got it.
