Currently, I am running version 1.4.6. I have NDAS key and installed
NDAS Software V 3.10. I registered my MG35 by using NDAS key in NDAS
software.
I have Airties brand Access Point. It has features of access point,
bridege and repeater. Today I spent almost 4 hours with techrep of
Airties. Bu I could not see MG35 wirelessly.
I select Mediagate mode (not PC-Network mode) and in setup menu DHCP
and NDAS are on. But there is no connection I mean that in NDAS
software MG35 does not appear. Techrep said that among the access
point, bridge and repeater modes there was no difference.
Any advice and help will be really welcomed.

OK, I set the DHCP server off in the setup of MG35 and powered off and on the unit then I became able to enter the PC_Network mode. In this mode, I selected for example video and mg35 searched the network but it said it could not find the any pc. By the way, I am able to connect access point wirelessly.

Maybe you folks already know that but I realized that IP address og the MG35 can be changed. I do not know whether this help.

OK, I checked the IP number from wireless network status screen and I changed the MG35 IP address from the default one to one shown on network status screen. Then I run ping command and finally I had communication between my computer and repeater. However, NDAS software still does not see MG35.

I received an e-mail given below from ximeta technical support about the problem I have.
Unfortunately Ximeta does not manufacture the MG35 hardware. What I can tell you is that devices that use the NDAS technology do not use a TCP/IP setting so assigning a IP or using the DHCP Server is not necessary. When working with our software thru wireless you want to make sure two specific settings are in place/disabled. One would be MAC address filtering, you will have to either disable it completely or find what the MAC address is of your MG35 and enter it into the router settings so that it will not be blocked. The second thing is to make sure there is no protocol filtering, we would recommend that this be completely disabled, since there are so many router companies out the “protocol filtering” may be seen in a different terminology. Also please note that a lot of access points do not transmit all protocols, since the MDAS technology uses a proprietary protocol, your access point must be able to transmit all protocols but most access points only transmit a TCP/IP protocol which the NDAS technology does not use.
Hello
To get DNAS to work over a wireless network, set your access point in repeater mode (WDS) and make sure your router does WDS too and that it is enabled.
Make sure the network settings are configured on the mediagate for your network too.
If all goes well, your mediagate will mount as an external hdd that you can see in Windows Explorer.
forgot to say, if you are using Vista, the mg-35 is not supported for dnas and it is not clear if it will be...
