I just got 2 Moto 3416 installed last week in Beverly Hills, Ca. I noticed a couple of problems with this DVR and was wondering if anyone else is having the same problems.


DVR functions work except it seems the program guide does not have info on what shows are new vs re-runs. If I season pass anything it tends to record ever airing of the show. I know on my old Direct Tv DVR I did not have this problem at all as most shows had either "First Run" or "Repeat" in the discription. I noticed only station on TWC with this info tends to be CBS, NBC and ABC. All other channels do not have this info.

So for example if I season pass a show like Mad Money It get record 4X a day. Or if I record Judge Judy same episodes get recorded 2X a day.

So I called up TWC to complain and I was told I must be doing something wrong as DVR should not be recording the same programs over and over and should be smart enough to know which airings are repeats and which are not.

I know TWC in Beverly Hills installs Moxi boxes and they still do for the most part. I got this Moto box because I requested HDMI connection and it took TWC 4 months to get me this box as they claim it not the normal box for my area. Could this be affecting the guide info this box see as the guide data in my area is ment for Moxi box and not this box?

PIP does not work at all on this box either. I hit Pip button on the remote it does nothing. Tech Support claimed PIP should work and they are going to order me 2 new boxes. They are telling me it will take then 4-6 weeks to get me replacements boxes tho. They are claiming my boxes are broken.

I read the comcast thread on this box and it seems PIP is disabled on Comcast version of the same box so I assume TWC does the same thing. But I could not find any information about the guide problems or recording all airings of the same show.

If anyone has any ideas how to fix this problem or what I can do please let me know.
