I have this DVR box with Comcasr in Philadelphia and sometimes it just really gets me angry. For example, I have the box on all the time but sometimes my mom turns it off by accident and then when you turn in back on their is no picture. I have to play something from My DVR and then exit it for the cable picture to reappear. Second, and most frustrating, is when I try to tape 2 things at once. For example, I have a series recording of Family Guy but last night I needed to tape Desperate Housewives as well - and watch that. So, I cacnled the recording of Family Guy until Desperate Housewives startered and then through the guide then ifo I hit record for Family Guy and it switched to it right away. Is there anyway to avoid this? Does sereis priority have anything to do with it because I swear I have tried that and it doesn't work either. Half the time you can only move a series so high and then it can't be moved up any slots higher.

Please, if anyone has any info I would greatly appreciate it.

There was no need to cancel Family Guy. All you had to do is to set up the recording of Desperate Housewives. When the programs start, if it goes to Family Guy and you want to watch Desperate Housewives instead, simply hit the "Swap" button on the bottom of your remote.
