Oh man, I didn't want to see this as I thought it was going to be some preachy political movie, but I was glad someone eventually dragged me to see it. Not too much preaching, but a hell of a lot of action. I thought it was almost more like a war movie by the end of it. This will be a sweet BD.

This one should look tremendous in hi-def. It looked great in the theater. Please give us an uncompressed track ala The Departed as well. You listening Warner?

The sound on this was certainly booming. Hopefully we'll be getting PCM from now on.

Another one to pick up for me. I will be buying this sight unseen but not to worried as it looked pretty good from the trailer I viewed.

Ughh..... This movie was bleh. People had told me it was on par with the departed. I was seriously laughing in the theater as were other people.

I think that part of the reason that this film got so much attention was due to the " women factor" because Leo decraprio was in it.

In my opinion Leonardo and Connelly were both serious miscast.

Everytime LD opened his mouth I wanted to leave.

If you are considering blind buying this, I would rent it first.

I loved the movie. Never got around to seeing Departed in theatres, but BD was one of my favorites movies of the year.

Not that I dissagree, or agree, but Leo's accent in this movie has been considered as beeing the best accent by an actor of all time.

Did you see this in the theatres? I initially read some lukewarm reviews but you know a movie like this simply rubs some people the wrong way but that doesn't always take away from the fact that it's a good movie. I like John Q but many hated the anti HMO statements in the movie.

A lot of people say that he had a terrible accent because they think he's supposed to sound British.......his character is South African and he nails the accent perfectly.

OMG ...that means the HD DVD crowd have something to buy in the month lull. Its a shame this title had to ruin the poetic karma of their allegiance.

I had a patient from Sierra Leone at my office who lost family members in wars. He said he cried thruout the film.

Wasn't bad, wasn't great. Not even close to The Departed.
