:rolleyes: Hmm, can anyone give some advice on the best way to connect all my new components together. Here's what I got:
Samsung LNS4051D
Panisonic DVDS52S
Soundmatters Mainstage HD
Computer with two Hauppauge PVR-150's (Beyond tv software)
The problem I'm having is the best way to do the audio from the DVD player, should I go with the optical out & HDMI to the tv, then to the mainstage? Or just HDMI to the tv, then optical out of tv to the mainstage? I would like to use the mainstage for the speaker for all my devices. Thanks

DVD player -- HDMI to TV
DVD player optical out to Mainstage
TV optical out to Mainstage
Computer to Mainstage input (not sure how many inputs the Mainstage has)

I am assuming that your DVD player will take both of these outputs at the same time...at least mine is that way, other than I have a receiver and a projector in the mix.
