Does anyone know the average price of linacoustic. I got a price this morning. Its only for the solid sheets, not the roll. 48"x36"x1"

Thanks

I think we have the best price here in the DC area. Probably due to the office building boom. (our tax dollars at work)

The last roll was $123 for a 48 inch wide 1 inch thick 100 ft roll.

Wowsers. The best I can find here in Edmonton so far is 45$ for a 4'X3'X1" sheet....

I may have to order it from you..HAHHAH

Hehe welcome to the wonders if living in E-town. The funny thing was I talkd to a few "theater installers" and they had no idea what it even was so I hold out little hope of finding it reasonably priced locally. Calgary maybe... otherwise ya gotta order fomr someplace.

Thats my plan I think. See if one of our fellow AVS People on here in the States would pick some up for me and send to the great white north. Im guessing even with shipping it would be cheaper.

I just took a quick look and the JM web site lists a number of Canadian distributers.

You need to pick the Commercial HVAC insulation option

Ryan, I ran into the same problem. I ended up sourcing my stuff from a local supplier of Ottawa Fibre Inc. products (http://www.ofigroup.com/products/can_pdfs/BMC-factsheet.pdf). BPape did my acoustic design and said it would work just as well as the "usual suspects". The price is an order of magnitude different (around C$1.00 per sq.ft. depending on the type you use). I'm willing to bet they have a supplier in the Edmonton area.

I have some pictures of the stuff in my HT Thread (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?p=9582755&&#post9582755)

Can anyone comment on current prices for Linacoustic? Yesterday I was quoted at over $300 for a 100' roll of 1" x 48". This sounded a little steep to me.

Thanks in advance.

Its been a little while since I bought it, but it was just over $150 in the Chicagoland area.

Got quoted just under $170+tax. Was happy until I saw BIG's price.

Did you use the distributer finder on the JM website for commercial HVAC insulation products?

I bought Owens Corning QuietR (basically same stuff as Linacoustic) at General Insulation. They have a location in Cle and multiple around Cinci/Dayton/Columbus. Just walk in, pay, walk out.

I called two local places and they said they only sell it in bulk so I was like wth???

Define bulk. It comes in a 100 ft roll, did you have to buy more that one roll?

Yes they said $500 min. order which I found to sound a little high but, I figured out the issue was I just needed to call bigger companies in Columbus :) I just found quietR at general insulation in 100' rolls in Columbus....Thanks once again for your guys help the project is almost complete 9 months later haha:D
