I was at the local Target (San Ramon, CA) at lunch to look for the Departed on HD DVD (didn't have it or the BD version), and saw that there are 3 copies of Babel BD out a week early (no HD DVD version).
I don't have a BD player, so I didn't get it, but thought some of you guys may be interested.

wow a week early, the earliest ive seen for a movie is the weekend prior to the tuesday release. However I have seen somegames released almost 2 weeks prior to the schedualed date.

You're welcome. I work at Bishop Ranch also.
I find that Target has good prices on HD and BD discs, but a very poor selection. The opposite is true of the BB in Dublin.

Answering madskill's question, I believe it was $29.99.

My closest Target in Clifton, NJ never has jack. The newest movies it has are Superman and Batman. Luckily Best Buy always has a good selection.

how is babel?

i am not the biggest fan of limited movies. but i liked the illusionist, the last king of scotland and children of man very much, but Babel was in my eyes terrible. you either like this movie or hate it. there is no way around it.

i find that every time i go to BB in Dublin, i wouldn't find the new BR movies unless i was there when it opened in the morning.... :(

got lucky and picked it up at that very location. it was the last one and i verified at another Target and BB in Palo Alto said that it wasn't supposed to be out till next week.

i quickly took a look at Babel this morning and i thought the PQ looked good. so i'm glad i picked it up.
