Does this leave a chance of same day blu ray version?

That would be sweet, I grew up on this movie and the Lost Boys, would love to see both of them in hi-def and I want The Goonies too!

I remember seeing a copy lying around at my cousin's house when I was younger, they seemed to like it but I never got a chance to watch. I've noticed a lot of people want this

I have been waiting for Monster Squad with baited breath for years, and if it came to BluRay I'd finally get to see wolfman's nards in 1080 glory. What a dream come true.

I have the the HD versions of all three of them on DVHS, so can't wait to replace these copies.

I would not be shocked to see this get released. Lionsgate has a much smaller number of popular titles than the major studios, and they've been fairly aggressive in releasing their bigger titles. There may be room for this on their slate.

I caught Monster Squad in hi-def on the "Monsters" channel on Dish-HD. It was actually a pretty good transfer, considering its age. So a hi-def master already exists ... for what it's worth.

If I'm not mistaken, the Monsters-HD version is cropped to 1.78, while the film was shot 2.35.

Right, but Dekker insists that the DVD will be 2.35:1, and it would be assumed that the BD would be in that ratio as well.

I have never seen this movie, but it features all of the Universal monsters, so it is must see. I know a lot of people who love this movie.

How ironic that finally there'll be a dvd release of Monster Squad, which would've been huge news like 2 or 3 years ago. Now it's like who cares, when's the BRD release?

Is this the movie where the wolfman has "nards?"

I LOVE this movie :)
Been almost 10 years since I last saw it.
Liongate better release it on Blu-Ray because I have no interest in collecting DVD:s anymore.

They just donīt make great movies like this anylonger...

Another favorite of mine :)
Iīve seen the HD version from TV and it looks GREAT!!!
But sadly that version lacked the "cemetery ending" that I think is the better one.

Woah! There was an HD version?!?!
Very cool!

Ah, the 80's. I miss 'em.
(Maybe that's why my latest songs have that type of sound!)
