I was very excited to get my copy of Chronos today but I encountered a problem playing it on my PS3. I insert the disc and hit play and after a few seconds it gives a message (can not play this disc.) Does anyone have ideas about what is up?

Have you updated the firmware on your PS3, and if so, what version is yours at? 1.50 had a couple of issues, but they released version 1.51 firmware a couple days later to correct it.

I'm running 1.51. Sorry I didn't mention that. I checked for a newer update tonight just in case.

Have you found a solution to your inability to play back the Chronos disc yet, Christy? I did some scouring and can't find a reference to anyone else having issues with the disc. If your other Blu-ray movies are playing, I would suspect that the disc itself may be defective.

I got my Chronos copy yesterday...

I'll try it tonight in my PS3 and see what happens... is this confirmed to happen to all discs/ps3s (like legends of Jazz), or just some?

Please keep us posted. I just ordered it from Amazon but will cancel/return unless somebody can confirm they were able to play it on a PS3.

Can't play mine either. Firmware 1.51 too.

wow, my version does work either on my ps3...bummer. I already contacted the company and hopefully i'll get a replacement disk version soon.

We are aware of this problem and the reason for it as well. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused our customers. I know one thing for sure. The folks that make the Sony PS3 have a lot to do with this issue and we are not the only Label that was impacted by this technical glitch. We are manufacturing new product now and should have replacements ready in a week. Please contact me directly for a replacement disc.
