Babel review is up on HiDefDigest. The specs are BD50, MPEG-2, and Dolby Digital 5.1 surround at 640kbps. Paramount screwed Blu-ray again because HD DVD got the 1.5 mbps treatment. Also HD DVD is encoded in AVC MPEG-4 ...wtf? If they had used AVC on Blu-ray, I think they would have enough room for 1.5 mbps audio ...maybe.

Well yeah, since the Blu-ray disc is almost twice the size of the HD DVD, it would have plenty of room if it used the same encode. It'd probably have plenty of room for a PCM track. :confused:

Based on that, I will give it a rent.
