I'm going to be taking the 30" Sanyo back this weekend. Gotta rent a damn uhaul van for $20 to do it. but hey, what else?

i'm going to hit for a refund, but i'm wondering what their policy is on this. i got the thing used, have the original receipt and warranty info (including the extra 2-years). original purchase date was september. i know they'll at least exchange or let me upgrade to a more expensive tv, but where do they stand on refunds?

If no refunds, i'll just end up having to sell the damn thing... unless something at walmart blows me away i'm going to pick up the 30" samsung slimfit. screw geometry; at least people don't look like their skin is on fire.

i'm going to take advantage of the van rental and bring my laptop around to plug into the tvs at best buy and walmart. i'm not buying another damn lemon.

I do not think Walmart will refund something that was purchased that long ago. Best bet is to call Sanyo and let a tech look at the set. I am not sure how long your labor and parts warranty are for your set. If both are for one year then you should be fine. If they cannot fix it they will replace your set.

The best you can hope for is store credit.

I'm curious why you kept such a horrible TV for so long.
