I am working on my home theater and will have a front projector connected via HDMI to an A/V receiver (probably Denon 3806). I am planning on upgrading my D* account to HD with DVR and would like to run the HD/DVR box (I assume a HR20?) to my Denon via HDMI. This way I can send signal to my projector or HDTV in my exercise room.

I have read in other posts from last year there seemed to be a problem, possibly HDCP issues, with running a DVR through an A/V receiver. I don't see much about this any more. Was this issue corrected? Do I need a particular model DVR to accomplish this?

The problem is more with Motorola cable boxes, the HR20 wasn't even out last year.

So there shouldn't be an issue running the HR20 through an A/V receiver?

I haven't seen any complaints about using the HR20 with AV receivers but that doesn't mean anything, there's always a possibility of an issue. I'd check dbstalk, they probably have the best forum dedicated to the HR20 out there, see if anyone is using the same combination of components you want to use.

On a side note, how do you intend to route an HDMI signal between two TV's? The AV receiver won't do that for you.
