To all the PEARL owners..how important is it to get the PJ calibrated...did u notice a difference after the calibration was done....is it worth the money...

Will be getting a A2000 SXRD with the projector....dont think I can get WAF for having both calibrated....if I have to chose from the two which would u guys recomend.....(The PJ will be used for sports and movies while everyday viewing will b on the SXRD predominantly)

Is there a website where I can find a ISF calibrator near where I live(Western PA)?

Calibration does make a difference, but you need to make a decision. For sports viewing I am pretty lenient on the picture, mostly because it is done with some ambient light and usually in a vivid mode, which imo undoes most of a calibration anyway. For movies I am extremely anal and want the best possible picture. I would say pick up a copy of DVE/Avia and do the TV yourself and use the dough to have the pj calibrated.

The problem with the Sony SXRDs is that the biggest problem with their performance--inaccurate color points--is not correctable.

However, an ISF calibration will get you a perfect gray scale and correct a problem these sets have with not passing full resolution at 1080i.
