I bought my Pio 5070 plasma last fall mainly for its rich color saturation.
Didn't realize it could produce such great Black Levels until I saw Sin City
on Movie Central HD last night. :eek:

The mostly Black and White film, with vivid splashes of occasional bright Reds and Oranges
was a real departure from my normal vieing material... but still a real eye candy treat.

Did some searching first thing this morning and found out its Buena Vista title (Disney)
So if it ever makes it to High Def disc , pretty good chance it will be Blu :cool: ;)
...That's one I'll be watching for for sure.

It is an incredible movie and one of my favorites. It will definitely be coming to Blu-ray. Unfortunately, I wouldn't expect it til the end of this year or next. More than likely it will coincide with the theatrical release of part 2, which is spring of '08. <--I hope i'm wrong and it comes out this summer.

Saw this on Movie Central HD a couple of months ago and agree. Looks great despite the macro blocking and other occasional compression issues which present themselves. Frankly though, it didn't look much better than the dvd playing on my A1.

Sadly I don't have that channel but I love this movie... But luckily StarzHD is supposed to air this on March 17th (according to their website)... definitely looking forward to it.

Sin City 2 and Sin City 3 are HD DVD exclusives at this point.

Sorry man, I thought only the HD DVD guys got thier panties in a bunch over content/studio release info.
