Look at the schedule, and notice how there's a "TSNHD" logo next to the Gatorade Duels. Something is going on here, and I don't know why. Speed Channel is doing the coverage, but their HD channel hasn't debuted yet!

Speed is using the same production equipment as FOX, thus it is being produced in HD. Currently there is no HD outlet for Speed in the US. However, the race will be backhauled in HD, so it should be in HD in Canada and we should get to see HD highlights on Sportscenter and most likely Nascar Now as well.

This was the case in previous years with the races on FX and Speed and should be the case with the All Star race in May.

With Speed being tied to Fox,, and Fox being tied to DirecTV, (they used to be anyway), I am surprised they don't show an HD simulcast of the 150's and the All-Star race on a special events channel. I wouldn't think it would cost them anything. It could be a preview of Speed-HD.

Not a bad idea considering that the Duels and the All Star race are its two premiere events.

BTW, this happened last year with the F/X races from Richmond and the All-Star event. At least we get 1/2 exclusive event....kinda makes up for the lack of ESPN/2 (but not really).

The race highlights on Sportscenter and NascarNow! are beautiful as always. Very disappointing that Speed can't get their act together on an HD channel. They could present all the Truck races, Cup practices, Qualifying, the All Star race, and all their on track programming.

Just seems with alomst all cup and busch programing being HD the last few years that they would have gotten on the ball.

The price I pay for not buying into Dish's HD package. There's a 13 race stretch that I'll not be able to see the Cup races in HD at home, starting with TNT's six races in June and ESPN's stretch of races starting at Indy. And in yet another blow, my ABC local does not broadcast Dolby 5.1, extending my inferior viewing experience all the way to the end of the season. I gotta get the most out of FOX's 13 races.

Yes, that has been reported here before. In car cameras in HD for ESPN!

And for those of you that want a SPEED HD channel, its coming, just not in time for any races this season.
