I live in Spokane, WA and last night I tuned in to the FSN NW (channel 426) to watch the WSU versus Washington Huskies game, but was unable to watch it because a blacked-out Seattle Sonics game was being shown instead. However, the local Comcast cable station did show the WSU game on their FSN NW channel. How is this possible? Aren’t the same programs supposed to be offered regardless of provider?

There are multiple feeds of FSN NW due to territory restrictions of the teams they show.

Did you see if there was an alternate FSN NW channel on Dish that was showing the college game?

Thanks for the explanation. I wasn't aware alternate FSN channels existed. I'll be sure to check those in the future.

Yep, last nights WSU/UW game was on Dish Ch.448(Sports Alternate), and was the FSN Northwest Feed.

The Sonics have a crazy deal with FSN where they only shown in Western Washington.
In Spokane the Sonics are on KQUP, FSN-NW is blacked-out on Dish and Comcast airs alternate programming.

I believe the same situation exist for next Saturday's WSU/OSU game.
