Rock Box Jukebox: Want a Beer with that Media Center?
This just might be the coolest Media Center PC on the planet.
Literally. It's a cooler and Media Center in one.
Created by Everett, Wash.-based MCE Integration with the blessing of beer-maker Icehouse, the Rock Box can chill your brews while entertaining your friends.
The engine is an Aopen Mini PC, which is built into the faux jukebox with enough ventilation to avoid overheating. That front panel of the newfangled jukebox mimics the music-selection panel found on the old-fashioned players. But this one flips down to allow a touchscreen to slide out for controlling the music system.
"We can substitute the cooler for a subwoofer if you want the room to really rock," says MCE Integration principal Jason Alinen, who says the company just completed its 30th production unit.
