Hi everyone, this is my first post here. I have my heart set on getting a Sony KD-34XBR970. I live in NYC and don't have a car, so pickup is not an option. I have been searching the web for the best price, and would be happy for any tips. I realize that you cannot actually post the price, so if you could just list a website you think I should check out, that would be great. I want a brand new set and good warrenty coverage, so EBay and craigslist are not an option. Thanks in advance! :)

~edit:
Crutchfield doesn't have it anymore. It's either Sony or any online retailer that can
do white glove delivery.

I got mine for about 30% off because it was an open box new set that had been returned. Sales guy told me that especially with these big CRT's, people buy them, take them home and realize they don't fit in their entertainment centers, then return them. Circuit City was where I got mine.
Online, directly from Sony. You'll pay full retail price, but the extended warranty is better than what's available at the big electronics chains (5 years for less than the other stores' 3 or 4 year plans). Plus they often have a free shipping offer on their site.

What about Circuit City? Do they deliver in NYC? They must.

hhgregg often sells it for $800 new. That's where I got mine ( Well, actually I got it at Circuit City but it was because of hhgregg that I got it for $800 because CC price-matched them for me. ). Keep checking their site because one week they'll have it for $900 and another week they might have it for $800. They've had it on sale for that price several times so my guess is that it will happen again. Here is the link:

It's $900 right now but that could go down to $800 anytime. And for all I know maybe you could even walk in there and talk them down to $800 since they have sold it for that several times.
