Hello All!
I purchased a Philips 30PW9100D about 6 months ago. Overall, I am pretty happy with the TV. I was wondering, on HD CRTs why is their not an option to select/change display modes? (480p, 720p, 1080i)
My problem is....the picture displayed on my tv from my DVD player looks considerably worse than the HDTV channels that I receive. I have tried both component cables as well as hdmi. The DVD player upscales to 720p and 1080i, but no matter what I change it to it all looks the same. I can only assume that the DVD player must be a piece of poop (its a Toshiba SD-4990; I believe it was the most inexpensive model Toshiba offered that upscaled) since the HD channels look awesome.
Also, what is the native display resolution for the 30PW9100D since it cant be adjusted?
Thanks
Mike
