[B]I had no issues setting up the firewire connection and recording, the issue is on the playback on my PC.There no sound, sound works on every other PC app and the sound is great on the DVR HD recording I am attempting to copy. Any Ideas, I am new to this.

Sounds like it may be a configuration issue on your PC on how to handle the audio from the firewire. Check your settings.
