My potential installer has listed a separate charge in his proposal for the lens options for the Sim2 c3x? I thought that the lenses were included. Infact all items to be used in the home theater (speakers, etc) are shown at list price? Is this the standard practice with installers?
Thanks.
Don
The C3X comes with a lens and there is a choice of two.
Short throw: 1.5-2.0:1
Long throw: 2.0-3.0:1

Sounds like a rather expensive way of doing things. Most ex demo C3Xs you will see come with the T2 lens (long throw), there don't seem to be so many with the T1 lens (short throw) out there. If your setup needs the T2 lens, I would call up some dealers. Shouldn't be too difficult to find and you will save $$$
The installer may just be confused. The HT3000 has an upcharge for the long-throw lens, and with the HT5000, all lenses are priced separtely. The C3X, the D80, and D35 all include the lens at their sell price.

Confused dealer. All the Sim2 models include a lens except the HT5000. The HT3000 long throw is a $1000 higher than the standard throw, but the C3X models are the same price regardless of option chosen.

That great news for potential C3X owners. Greg
