Can someone please help me set up the Sony Pearl to project the image on 133 inch screen diagonal? With a minimum range to retain the brightness and without using the lens shift. Meaning, how far down does the projector have to be in order to have a perfectly sized image. It is mounted on a shelf. The room dimesnsions are: 17.5 x 21 ft. 8 feet 7 inch ceiling. Thanks in advance! :)

12.5 ft away and centered with the screen

Thank you SJ. I will give it a try. Some where I read that using lens shift will degrade picture quality to certain extent. How to find percentage of lens shift is been used if I have to use?

Unless the screen calculator is totally wrong, it's not possible to place the Pearl 12.5' away from a 133" diagonal screen. Plus the image will be quite dim unless you have a high gain screen.

Lens shift, when used, should have no negative effect on PQ...keystone correction, however, will.

I really like that site, so what do you loose if you use Zoom? After plugging in the variables it looks like the FL's stay the same at 15.4 or 21' on a 119" screen.

My Pearl is just over 14' from a 10' wide (~133" diag) screen. It is roughly even with the top edge of the screen inverted on a celiing mount. I use lens shift with no ill effects.

How coincidental, I have very similar condition 133" 116" wide & 65" high. The distance from screen to first row is exactly 14' 6" picture looks fabulous however, it lacks the punch of Infocus 7205 or 7210, trying to learn ultimate tweaking process from pearl owners to further enhance the picture quality.
Simply by switching to a Veiwtech Silver-Star screen I would imagine this projector will beat hands down to $10,000.00 and up projector. What are your settings? does sharpness effective via HDMI? how can I achieve perfect focus? which is crucial for a good image. Any tips will help me to set up properly.
Thanks
