Sony's Pearl specs 5000:1 Contrast 15,000:1 Dynamic Contrast. All of the threads on the RS1 say 15:000:1 or more. Since I'm so new to this area I'm not sure what Dynamic Contrast is. Does this have to do with the IRIS? Or does the RS1 also have to different specs for Contrast?

Yes, dynamic contrast is a term that was coined I think by Darinp2 to describe the contrast benefits for a system like the VW50 which is capable of decreasing the iris aperture coupled with an increase in gamma (pixel stimulus). Trying to quantify the benefits of native (also called static) contrast vs dynamic contrast is not an easy thing to do. I posted a scenario that I think captures dynamic contrast pretty well.
