View Full Version : fly boys would make for some great eye candy easy9 02-18-07, 02:53 AM not homo sexual porn  but the world war 1 movie :D its a fox movie any idea if being released in hd-dvd lilstinky 02-18-07, 03:15 AM I doubt it unless Fox gets their act together and goes multi-format. darinp2 02-18-07, 04:17 AM fly boys would make for some great eye candyI popped that disc in (BD of course), jumped to a chapter a few in and went, "Wow" (or something not as family friendly :)). Definitely has some great images. I'm sure it would look great on HD DVD also. imdb.com lists the rights as belonging to "Voltage Pictures" for worldwide. Not sure how that matches up with Fox releasing it in the US, but doesn't seem that promising right now if one group owns all the worldwide rights and Fox already released it on Blu-ray. --Darin patrick99 02-18-07, 08:54 AM I popped that disc in (BD of course), jumped to a chapter a few in and went, "Wow" (or something not as family friendly :)). Obviously, the answer will be no because these companies do not support the format. fitprod 02-18-07, 01:42 PM Why do people continue to post threads asking if certain Fox, Disney and Sony movies will be released on HD DVD? I'm there with you... Slightly. You have to understand, most people don't know the distribution deals, they just want product. If the consumers can not get everything on one format, both will eventually die. That is why it is critical that this format war needs to end ASAP for fans of physical HD media. I own both formats, and has have started shifting my 'format nuetral" buys to Blu-ray... Considering how hard the studios are pushing broadband downloads behind the scenes, these formats are the last we will actually own. On a side note, Flyboys is actually an MGM title, Fox just distributes MGM product. fitprod homerx 02-18-07, 02:27 PM I can understand some movies are BD here but HDDVD overseas. Studio canal has many HDDVDs in france that are BD only. T2,total recall rambo trilogy for example But flyboys will be BD worldwide I belive. Looks great on DVD upconverted via the A1. Although I'm sure the BD blows it away... hd nOOb 02-18-07, 09:35 PM Seems to me like MGM is loosing money as well, as making some! |
