I recently hooked up a PS3 to a Sony KV-34HS510 via component cables. When I change the output resolution to anything besides the default 480i, I get a black screen with no picture. I've never had any problems with the inputs before, using the same component inputs to get 1080i from an hd cable box. Any ideas on why this is?

Also, I haven't gotten around to updating the PS3 software/firmware in any way. Did there happen to be an update that I need for this functionality?
