We built a house and tried to plan ahead with running wires. We want to hook the Sirius into the house stereo with ceiling speakers, volume controls, etc. I bought a Terk 50 ft. extension and a Terk (by Audiovox) Sirius Outdoor Home Antenna. We asked the electrician to run the extension and left the outdoor home antenna with it.
Well, the wire was run with the wrong ends at the wrong places. The end that should be at the stereo is in the attic and the end that should be in the attic is at the stereo. The house is too far done to re-run the wire..... Here is the extension:
http://www.amazon.com/Terk-SIR-EXT50.../dp/B000167KQ0
Basically what I need is one wire that is female to female and another that is male to male. Does anyone know if such a thing is made?
Alternatively, I could try splicing (I am not optimistic with my abilities there - even if it is possible).
Any ideas? Is splicing even possible?
