OK, I'm not going to rant here about how this is the biggest POS ever made. I think we all know that. :)

I just want to know if anyone can fix the biggest issue I have with it before I loose my mind.

The issue is:
1) I have to reboot (pull the plug and put back in) the box before dumping out the firewire port--every single time!!!!! Can't even dump two shows in a row without a reboot!!!! Failure to do this will lead to a copy that is jumpy and either has out of sync audio or no audio.
2) When the box is rebooted, it will not let you get to the content that is stored on its very own hard drive until it has updated the program guide. This update takes between 2 and 10 minutes.

Best would be a solution to number 1. If that is not possible, a solution to number 2 would make it slightly more tolerable.

If anyone has a setting or process that works, please share.
