Could someone please tell me what the Satellite Kbs for the Radio companies are?

I have read that it works out somewhere around 90 kilobytes per sec. Better than HD radio but lower than MP3. I think the reproduction of the sound is improved by some technology, however, making it sound better than the bit-rate would suggest.
