I just moved to seattle from minneapolis and was fairly pleased with my service there. Well, here the comcast software is "microsoft enhanced" which translates into worse service. There are numerous problems with the software, but the biggest one is that it does not allow you to choose exactly when the recording begins. It allows you to choose "on time" which means 2 minutes early, and then five minutes late, 10 minutes late etc. Well that wouldn't be a big deal but if I want to record a show the first hour, then 2 shows in the following hour, it causes a conflict because of those 2 minutes of overlap and will only record 1 show the following hour. Seriously, did no one do any QA? Does anyone know who I can write at comcast or microsoft that might have some ability to push for a firmware upgrade? I've been talking with the comcast customer service people for a month and have gotten nowhere - I don't think they even understand the problem. Thanks
