This might be a horrible question but I just need a straight answer. I'm confused about the difference between front-projection and rear-projection on different display types. Aren't all CRT TVs rear-projection? Also, what is the difference between a front-projection LCD TV and a rear-projection LCD TV. I've also heard the term "flat-panel LCD" used. A short, good explanation would be appreciated. Thanks.

CRT=Standard glass tube. CRTs are considered "Direct-View", not rear projection.

Rear Projection = Big screen using either CRT, LCD, or DLP technology to project onto the backside of a screen with a ruffled front side.

Front Projection = Like a movie theater projector.

Flat Panel = LCD or Plasma with no tubes or projections of any sort. Only inches thick.
